Mark Your Calendars! CAT 2024 Exam Dates and Schedule Announced by IIM Calcutta

The much-awaited Common Admission Test (CAT 2024) notification has been released by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta. Aspiring management students can now gear up for the entrance exam as the registration process is set to commence on August 1, 2024.

Key Dates 

1. Registration Window Opens - August 1, 2024
2. Registration Deadline - September 13, 2024
3. Admit Card Download - November 5 to November 24, 2024
4. Exam Date - November 24, 2024
5. Result - January (2nd week), 2025

The official notification provides crucial details about the exam, including:

• Eligibility Criteria - Academic qualifications required to appear for the exam.
• Exam Centers - List of 170 cities where the exam will be conducted.
• Registration Fees - Fees for different categories of candidates. ₹1250 will be paid by candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category and others will have to pay an amount of ₹2500. 

Exam Pattern

• Exam Pattern - Structure of the CAT exam, including sections and marking scheme. The exam will be conducted in three sessions. 
• Syllabus - Topics covered in the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA) sections.

Eligible candidates will be able to apply for the CAT exam online through the official website (iimcat.ac.in) once the registration commences. The application process typically involves filling in personal and academic details, uploading required documents, and paying the application fee.
