The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, has started the correction process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2024) applications. Aspiring candidates can now make alterations to their application forms by visiting the official website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

In order to make changes to particulars such as name, date of birth, examination city, paper category, and gender, candidates will be required to pay a fee of ₹500. For alterations involving gender change from female to any other category, or category change from SC or ST to another, a fee of ₹1,400 will be applicable. The correction window for GATE 2024 will remain open until November 11, 2023.

  1. Visit the official website for GATE 2024: gate2024.iisc.ac.in
  2. Click on the GOAPS portal link
  3. Log in using your email ID and password
  4. Locate and click on the 'Edit Application Form' link
  5. Proceed to make the necessary corrections and then click on submit.

Scheduled to take place on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, GATE 2024 will be a pivotal examination for those planning to pursue MTech programs. The computer-based test will be conducted in two sessions, with the morning shift commencing at 9.30AM and ending at 12.30PM, and the afternoon session scheduled from 2.30PM to 5.30PM.

GATE 2024 Exam Pattern:

The question paper will consist of both one-mark and two-mark questions. For every incorrect response to a 1-mark Multiple Choice Question (MCQ), a deduction of 1/3 mark will be applied. Similarly, for a 2-mark MCQ, a deduction of 2/3 mark will be made. However, there will be no negative marking for Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
