Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has released the official Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 mock test link for enrolled candidates on the official website, iimcat.ac.in. This mock test can accustom aspirants to the examination pattern.
IIMA has also activated CAT official mocks links for candidates who are blind and those with low vision, as well as other PwD candidates.
“The mock test contains selected questions from previous years’ Common Admission Test (CAT) papers, with an aim to familiarize the candidates with different types of questions generally asked in CAT (MCQs/ Non-MCQs) and the exam console,” read the official circular issued by IIMA.
The CAT mock test has been designed by IIMA with a total duration of 120 minutes (40 minutes each for three sections). This is in keeping with the CAT test pattern followed last year.
“The objective of this CAT exam mock test is not to disclose the exam pattern for CAT 2021, and the actual exam may or may not contain similar type or number of questions,” the official notice further read.
CAT 2021 exam is scheduled to be held on November 28 and the exam results are expected to be announced by the second week of January 2022.
How to access the official CAT mock test link:
Once all these steps are followed, candidates will see the first question of the first section of the CAT mock test. Through this mock exam, candidates can know the previous year’s CAT exam pattern (the pattern may or may not vary this year), CAT 2021 syllabus, and time management among other things.
Candidates will not be able to download the CAT mock test from the official website, even though they can easily appear for the free mock test an unlimited number of times. Even the solutions will not be provided; candidates will have to look for the answers themselves.
