The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) exams are just a couple of days away and students need to know all the rules and guidelines prescribed by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) for the exam days.
Here are a few things examinees must remember when they head for the examination centre:
Exam hall guidelines
· The exams begin at 11am for ICSE and 2pm for ISC. Students must reach the examination hall early and be seated five minutes before the examination begins.
· Students failing to reach on time will have to explain the reason for delay to the supervisor.
The question papers will be handed out to the students 10 minutes before the start of the exam. Students must use this time to read the question paper carefully.
· Students must be vigilant and check if they have been handed over the question of the correct subject. In case they receive a wrong question paper, they must immediately inform the supervisor.
· No sharing of stationery will be allowed in the hall.
· No electronic gadgets will be allowed in the examination hall.
· Students found using any unfair means in the exam hall may face strict consequences such as expulsion. They can also be barred from writing the rest of the exams.
· Candidates must carefully fill in their details in the space provided on the answer script.
Results and rechecking answer scripts
· The results will be issued through the conveners to the heads of schools in the month of July.
· Results will not be available from the office of the council in New Delhi.
· The council shall not entertain independent queries regarding the results by candidates, parents or guardians.
· Applications for rechecking of answer scripts must be submitted online and must be received at the council’s office within seven days from the date of declaration of results.
