The application deadline for Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2022 has been extended till May 22 by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Applications will be accepted till 5pm and the application fee can be paid till 11:50pm on May 22. The correction window will stay open from May 25 to May 31. Any error or missing information in the application will have to be corrected during this period.
The entrance test is scheduled to take place in the first week of July 2022, although the detailed timetable has not been released yet.
The notification has also stated that eligibility/mapping of the tests offered under CUET (UG)-2022 has been revised by a few universities/PIs after commencement of registration. The revised mapping is also displayed on the NTA website( https://cuet.samarth.ac.in ).
Additionally, some universities/ PIs have dropped some of the courses offered by them, after commencement of registration, due to unavoidable circumstances. In such cases, it is likely that candidates may have submitted their applications selecting the tests as per the initial mapping and/or applied for courses that are no more on offer by the Universities/PIs. Such candidates have been requested to re-visit the website of the university/PI where they want admission and re-confirm whether the courses in which they want admission are still on offer by the educational institutions concerned, re-visit the mapping of the courses/tests on the NTA website (https://cuet.samarth.ac.in) and re-confirm that the tests opted by them in their application form are in conformity with the tests that they are required to apply for in CUET (UG)-2022.
Initially, the last date for registration for CUET-UG 2022 was May 6. On the official Twitter handle, UGC chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar announced the postponement of the registration deadline by two weeks and wrote, “We are extending the last date for application submission for Common University Entrance Test (CUET) up to 22-05-2022. We hope that this will provide additional opportunities to the students to apply for CUET. Wish you all good luck. More details at https://cuet.samarth.ac.in”
CUET 2022 is a national-level exam conducted online in the computer-based test (CBT) mode for admission to undergraduate courses in central universities and participating universities. All students who have passed their Class XII board exams from any recognised board will be eligible to appear for the exam.
