The provisional answer key of Joint CSIR UGC NET December 2023 examination has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates who had appeared in the examination on December 26, 27 and 28 will be able to download the answer key from the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

Candidates not satisfied with the answer key issued by the National Testing Agency, will be able to challenge the answer key. The last day for candidates to raise their objection is January 8.

The challenge has to be made only in the online mode.

Fee

For challenging every answer of the answer key, candidates will have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question challenged.

How to challenge the answer key?

Step 1: Log on to the official website of NTA at csirnet.nta.ac.in

Step 2: Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter Security Pin as displayed and submit.

Step 3: Click on 'View Question Paper' and click on 'Click to view /Challenge Answer Key'

Step 4: Make your challenges by clicking on the required option

Step 5: Click on ‘Save your Claims and pay fee’ or in case to modify the claims, click on ‘Modify your Claims’

The challenges made by the candidates will be verified by a panel of subject experts and if a challenge by any candidate is found to be correct, the answer key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised final answer key, the result of the examination will be declared.

According to the official notification, the examination was conducted on December 26, 27 and 28 at 356 centres located in 176 cities across the country. A total of 2,19,146 candidates had appeared in the examination that was held through a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
