The registration window for CLAT 2025 counselling closes today, December 20, marking the last opportunity for students aiming to secure admissions to National Law Universities (NLUs) and other participating institutions. The submission portal will remain functional till 10 PM.
The counselling process is designed to streamline admissions by matching candidates’ preferences with available seats across NLUs. After the announcement of the CLAT 2025 results, candidates shortlisted based on their rank were invited to participate in the counselling process.
“Candidates shall receive invitations to the Admissions Counselling Process via email at their registered email address and SMS at their registered phone number”, the official notification informed.
Candidates must ensure they have completed the registration process by paying the counselling fee and filling in their college and course preferences. Failure to register within the stipulated deadline will disqualify candidates from the seat allotment rounds.

Candidates belonging to the General category will have to pay an amount of ₹30,000, whereas, ST/SC/OBC/BC/EWS/PwD candidates will pay ₹20,000 as their counselling registration fee.
Post-registration, the seat allotment process will commence in phases based on the candidates’ ranks and preferences, with the first round seat allotment result declaration on December 26, 2024.
