Commonwealth Shared Scholarships invites applications to study in the UK

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships -- funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) -- is inviting applications for eligible candidates who wish to study in the UK for the 2022 academic year. 

 

The last date to apply for the scholarship is December 20.

This scholarship will facilitate full-time Master’s study on selected courses at a UK university for candidates from the least developed and lower-middle income Commonwealth countries who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.

 

Candidates from 23 eligible countries can apply for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships in 2022. These countries include India, Bangladesh, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Sri Lanka and Uganda among others.

Eligibility criteria for the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2022:

 

Each participating UK university will conduct its own recruitment process to select a specified number of candidates who are to be awarded with the Commonwealth Shared Scholarships.

 

All participating universities must present their selected candidates by March 2022. The scholarship committee will then confirm who among these candidates meet the eligibility criteria for the scheme. Universities will inform candidates about their results by July 2022.

 

Applications will be considered according to the candidate’s academic merit, quality of the plan of study and the potential impact on the development of the candidate’s home country.
