NEP 2020: CISCE to discuss curriculum reforms at Principal's Meet of affiliated schools

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will be organising a Principal's Meet for its affiliated schools in the West Bengal Region on Tuesday, July 23 at The Heritage School, Kolkata. The event will witness the presence of a the heads of the CISCE affliated schools across the state.

The event will serve as a vital forum for discussions on enhancing the educational capacities of CISCE-affiliated schools in accordance with National Education Policy 2020 and will be presided over by Dr G Immanuel, Chairman of CISCE and Dr Joseph Emmanuel, Chief Executive and Secretary of CISCE.

The Chief Executive and Secretary will highlight CISCE’s ongoing endeavours on curriculum reforms, which include offering courses at two levels for Math & English at ISC, assessment reforms and strategies, strengthening teachers’ capacity-building programmes, enhancement of school digital infrastructure for integrating modern digital learning platforms in all schools and innovative student enrichment activities.

The event will also address CISCE’s efforts in making systemic reforms in the educational infrastructure with the gradual incorporation of Key Stage Assessments (KSA), Personalised Adaptive Learning, the introduction of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC), School Quality Assessment (SQA), etc.

According to the board, the event will foster dialogue among heads of CISCE schools in West Bengal on the strategic shifts in all CISCE-affiliated schools, as mandated by NEP 2020. This will help facilitate a robust pathway towards meeting international learning standards and academic excellence in the students.
