The inspections revealed several cases of dummy admissions, where students were enrolled but not attending classes regularly, undermining the academic integrity CBSE promotes. As a result, the CBSE took decisive actions: 21 schools had their affiliation withdrawn for high instances of non-attending students from classes IX to XII, and 6 schools were downgraded from Senior Secondary to Secondary level.

In line with its mission to foster genuine learning and prevent malpractice, CBSE issued Show Cause Notices to the schools in question, allowing 30 days to respond. Findings from the Surprise Inspection Committees, supported by videographic evidence, played a critical role in these decisions.

CBSE affirmed its dedication to educational reform, quality learning, and holistic student development, reiterating that it will continue to monitor schools closely to uphold academic integrity across its institutions nationwide.
