Vivekananda Mission School, Joka, celebrated the Annual Function and Prize Distribution Ceremony on 4 October, 2024 with pomp and splendour to applaud and reward the sterling achievement of the students in both scholastic and co-scholastic domains. The programme was held in Kala Mandir.

The programme commenced with the Prayer Song and School Song performed by the students followed by the vocal performance of the teacher’s choir, Naibedya. The grand finale showcased technology as detrimental to mankind but at the same time suggested that humans could use technology to foster creativity and development. The function comprised various exhilarating and scintillating cultural items including dance, though provoking drama and songs. With the synchronised dance movements and foot tapping music, the tiny tots as well as the grown-ups managed to set fire on stage.

The venue metamorphosed into a kaleidoscope of colours, reverberating with applause and cheers from proud parents and supportive friends. It was indeed a proud moment for both teachers and parents who worked step by step, day in and out along with the students to bring glory to this day.

The programme ended  with a lot of food for thought for both the young and old in the audience. It raised the question of human responsibility in charting the future of life on planet Earth.
