Kolkata-based Lakshmipat Singhania Academy has reason to celebrate as three of its students, Vishwesh Kumar, Neerav Nagori and Gaurav Poddar, were selected to represent their project, Jeevanam, at the National Technology Week held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from 11 to 14 May 2023. The students, accompanied by their mentor Dipankar Pal, were among the top 40 out of 10,000 schools in the Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) programme all over India selected for this prestigious event.
The National Technology Week was inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, on 11 May. He was accompanied by the Honourable Defense Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh, and the Honourable Minister of Earth Sciences. On the same day, the students' stall was visited by Prof. Ajay Sood, Principal Scientific Advisor of the Government of India, and AIM Director Chintan Vaishnav. The students also had the opportunity to meet the renowned physicist and Director of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, and Secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy.

The students have created an oxygen concentrator that infuses oxygen with an Ayurvedic concoction. The aim is to combine modern technology with ancient Ayurvedic techniques. The model is designed to reduce the dependency of patients on oxygen and increase the efficiency of treatment. It helps cure various inflammations, coughs, colds, and other problems suffered by patients, ensuring a comfortable and easy recovery phase for them.The project Jeevanam has attracted a lot of attention at the National Technology Week and has been hailed as an innovative solution to the current health crisis. The students' accomplishment is a testament to their hard work and dedication, as well as the quality of education provided by Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, Kolkata.
