Xavier Society of Law and Justice (XSLAJ), Xavier Law School of St. Xavier's University, Kolkata is all set to host the Ignatius National Trial and Advocacy Competition (IGNITAC) 2023 from the 1 to 3 November, 2023. This shall be the first ever national Trial and Advocacy competition in the state of West Bengal.
The event shall witness the participation of more than 20 teams from across Law Schools throughout the nation, battling out their cases inside the court rooms with an eye on the coveted winners trophy. They shall be judged by a panel of judges comprising former High Court Justices and other esteemed judges. Winners shall receive cash prizes worth a total of Rs 1.5 lakhs and internship opportunities at prestigious firms. The event is being sponsored by Fox & Mandal as the Title Partner and Khaitan & Co as the Associate Partner, among others. The organisation of the event is being looked after by the students of Xavier Law School, working as members of the Organising Committee, to ensure a smooth experience for the participants and a successful event.
The event is being convened by Dr. Animesh Das, Convenor of the Xavier Society of Law and Justice; and organised by Harsh Aggarwal, the Secretary of the society, along with Mobashir Anwar, and other members of the organising committee.
