St Augustine's Day School, Shyamnagar and Barackpore recently organised public speaking competitions at their respective campuses bringing together students from various age groups showcase their communication skills, creativity and confidence on stage.

The competition was held at St Augustine's Day School Shyamnagar on February 9 and 16 and at St Augustine's Day school, Barackpore on February 19.

At Shyamnagar, the participants impressed the audience with their thought-provoking arguments, persuasive presentations, and engaging storytelling. From discussing pressing social issues to sharing personal experiences and insights, each speaker brought a unique perspective and energy to the competition.

At St Augustine's Day School, Barackpore, students from classes IV to VII showcased their oratory skills and confidence in front of esteemed judges. The jury included Sandeep Banerjee, Taniya Bhardwaj and Nathan Gasper Chowdhury, who added great value to the event through their words of appreciation.

The School's Principal, Shweta Ray motivated the students through her speech and highlighted the significance of public speaking and how such platforms enable students to build confidence, articulate their thoughts and enhance their communication skills.

Ten finalists from each class were selected to compete in the finale, showcasing their exceptional oratory skills and creativity.

Public Speaking competitions at both schools not only celebrated the winners but also acknowledged the efforts and progress of all participants who courageously stepped out of their comfort zones and embraced the challenge of public speaking.
